Gail Green accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a life-long member of the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. She had many affiliations within the church and served faithfully until her untimely passing.

 
      Gail was an advocator for all! She loved her community and enjoyed educating the youth. Gail was a career law enforcement officer with the Phenix City Police Department. She started her career in April 1987 and graduated from the police academy in Montgomery, AL. In 1991, she was promoted to Sergeant and assigned as a Juvenile Investigator and DARE Instructor. As an instructor she worked with 5th graders in the Phenix City School System and developed a good rapport with the students she taught.

    In 2007, she was promoted to Lieutenant and in 2014 was promoted to Captain. Gail was finally promoted to Assistant Chief of Police/Department Operations Commander in October 2015. Chief Green selflessly served this community with a career that spanned over 33 years.
